Dr. Bin YIN, got his PhD (Biochemistry and Molecular Biololgy, 1999) and MD (1993) from the Peking Union Medical College and Bengbu Medical University, respectively; licensed in Clinical Laboratory Sciences; completed his post-doctoral training and subsequently worked as Research Associate at the University of Minnesota Cancer Center in the USA; and sequentially held Professorship/ Principal Investigator/ PhD advisor at the Soochow University, the Nanjing Medical University and now the Jiangnan University Medical Center. His research has primarily focused on the pathogenesis, diagnosis and therapy of leukemia and solid cancers, and established BCL11A as an oncogene in hematologic malignancies. Dr. Yin has obtained several major grants from national and provincial foundations, published 29 papers and filed 3 patents (1 approved, 2 pending), presented at local and international academic conferences, won the “Travel Award” from the American Society of Hematology in 2005 and 2006, respectively; served as grant and manuscript reviewers for major national and provincial foundations, the Member of the American Society of Hematology and the Leader of Laboratory Diagnosis Group, Hematology section of Wuxi Medical Association.
