Dr. Ruaa Mohammed Almotawa is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hafr Albatin (UHB) in Saudi Arabia, specializing in inorganic chemistry. She earned her Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of North Texas, with a prior Master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Almotawa’s research focuses on inorganic synthesis, crystallization methods, and the characterization of metal complexes, particularly those of silver and copper, which have applications in optoelectronics and solar energy. With over 30 published papers and patents, her work has garnered international attention. Notable publications include research on coordination polymers, green chemistry, and materials for CO2 separation and toxic metal cation sensing. Dr. Almotawa is an active member of several academic and research committees at UHB, and she serves as the Vice Dean for Female Students’ Affairs for the College of Science. She also engages in various scientific outreach and administrative roles, contributing to both academic leadership and innovation. Dr. Almotawa holds professional memberships in the American Chemical Society and the Saudi Chemical Society.
