Srikar Velichety is an Assistant Professor of Business Information and Technology at the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis. Velichety got his PhD in Management Information Systems from the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona in 2016. His research interests are in social media and Social Networks, User Generated Content, Recommender Systems and Predictive Analytics. His research has been published in journals including JMIS, JAIS, DSS, IJIM and ACM SIGMIS. DATABASE. In addition, Dr. Velichety has generated over 75,000 USD in research grants from organizations like FedEx. His research was presented at organizations such as Walmart and International Paper. In 2022, he was a part of a large-scale federal grant that was awarded 21.5 million USD from the US Department of Commerce to train the workforce for Good Paying Jobs in the logistics and technology industry in the Memphis Metropolitan Region. In addition, he has taught executive courses in Cybersecurity Management.
