Site Zhang obtained his PhD in 2018 from Abbe School of Photonics, Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Subsequently, he joined LightTrans International UG and took the role of CTO (Chief Technology Officer). From June 2021 on, Site Zhang returned to China and now is the deputy director at the Key Laboratory of Advanced Manufacturing for Optical Systems (KLAMOS) at Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP). For over 10 years, Site Zhang has worked on the development of physical-optics simulation technologies and many of his research outputs have been implemented in optical simulation software. His research interests includes but not limited to micro-/nano-structured optical surfaces, interferometric/metrology systems and opticallithographic systems with novel concepts.
