Haitham Lafta Saadon, Professor in the Department of Physics/College of Science at Basrah University, Iraq. He obtained his Ph.D in Laser Applications from University of Athens, Greece with a collaboration of University of Metz, France at the laboratory of Materiaux Optiques, Photoniqueset Systems, 2004. He obtained a Postdoctoral positionfrom Athens University, Greece with financial support from international program in Brussels, Belgium,2005, 2006. His research interests are laser applications, nonlinear optics, electro-optical effect, Photonic and Nano-photonic devices, optical information security system, laser tweezers for medical applications. In these fields, he has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and supervised on Masters and PhD students.
