Annamaria Di Fabio, Ph.D., is Full Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the Department of Education, Languages, Intercultures, Literatures and Psychology (Psychology Section), University of Florence (Italy). She is also Director of both the following International Research and Intervention Laboratories: Cross-Cultural Positive Psychology, Prevention, and Sustainability (CCrossPoPP&S); Work and Organizational Psychology for Vocational Guidance, Career Counseling, Career Development, Talents and Healthy Organizations (WOProCCareerT&HO). Her principal research areas are the following: healthy organizations, work and organizational psychology, decent work/decent lives for healthy lives, well-being at work and in life, guidance and career counseling, sustainable career, sustainable working, psychology of individual differences, positive psychology in strength-based prevention and cross-cultural perspectives, psychology of sustainability and sustainable development, eco-generativity, eco-anxiety. She is strongly committed to the psychology of sustainability and sustainable and since 2016 she is editor for the area of “Psychology of Sustainability and Sustainable Development” in charge for the journal Sustainability Science (Springer Publisher); she is also editor-in-chief of the Australian Journal of Career Development (AJCD) (Sage Publisher), co-editor of the British Journal of Guidance and Counselling (BJGC) (Routledge Taylor & Francis Group Publisher), editor in chief of Counseling International Journal of Research and Intervention (Erickson Publisher).
,/br> She was repeatedly invited to many international scientific conferences both as keynote speaker and as chair and discussant. She has traditionally had many international agreements and collaborations for research activities with several universities and institutions all over the world (USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, Malesia, South Korea, Indonesia, Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, India, and Europe).
,/br>She has been elected in 2018 in the Board of Directors of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP), re-elected in 2022 for the next 4 years. She is also responsible for the Special International IAAP Project “Promoting Decent Work for All”, International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) (July 2018-2022, July 2022-2026, in charge).
,/br>She is both the Congress vice-president and the President of the Scientific Committee and Programme of the 2026 ICAP (International Congress of Applied Psychology), the world congress of the oldest and prestigious association of Applied Psychology founded in 1920: the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP). The 2026 ICAP will be held in Florence (Italy):
