Alain Neher is an Associate Professor and the Associate Head of the School of Business at Charles Sturt University in Australia. Before joining academia, he worked for over 25 years in industry, including senior management and leadership roles in private, public, and not-for-profit organisations and armed forces logistics, focusing on support services and training. Assoc Prof Neher holds a Doctoral degree from Charles Sturt University, two Master’s degrees from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Switzerland) and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (Switzerland). He also possesses two Certificates of Organisational Coaching (IECL), a postgraduate degree in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, and a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). Besides researching Business and publishing in peer-reviewed high-quality business and management journals, Assoc Prof Neher is also interested in research projects in the health discipline, such as first responders and work health and safety, and publishes in peer-reviewed high-quality health-related journals, such as the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health and the Australian Journal of Rural Health.
