Anthi Ranella is a Principal Researcher at the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser of the Foundation of Research and Technology, in Heraklion, Crete, and leads the Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine and Immunoengineering Lab (TERMIM Lab).
Her fields of interest comprise mainly the study of the basic biological and biophysical processes at the molecular and cellular level, the understanding of the biochemical mechanisms that take place at the interface between cells and biomaterials at the micro/nanoscale and the examination of the potential medical and/or clinical applications of optimized Biomaterials. She is actively involved in several interdisciplinary projects which have led to significant contributions in the field of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.
