Dulal Chandra Kar, as an educator, has been contributing to the fields of computer science and
electrical engineering for over three decades. He has served at several institutions, including
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Virginia Tech, North Dakota State University in the
United States, and the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Bangladesh. In
1994, he earned his PhD in Engineering with a focus on Computer Engineering from North
Dakota State University. Presently, he holds a professorship in the Computer Science Department
at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous
research, training, and development initiatives, receiving support from entities like the National
Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the U.S. Department of Education. His
research interests are diverse, encompassing information security, network security, unmanned
aerial systems, and sensor networks. Prof. Kar's contributions to academia include authoring or
co-authoring over 85 peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters. He
has also written a book titled "Network Security, Administration, and Management – Advancing
Technologies and Practice," published by IGI Global. His editorial roles have included serving as
an Editor for the Journal of Network and Computer Applications and as an Associate Editor for
the International Journal of Distance Education Technologies. Currently, he is a senior member
of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
